March for Life 2019 DetailsMarch for Life:
Wed, January 16 - Sunday, Jan 20, 2019. We will travel by bus to Washington DC. The actual March will be on Friday, Jan 18. Applications are to be turned into Sr. Sara or Ms. Butler in the campus ministry room. To go on the March, students must be an active member of Teens for Life and Lumen Christi. What is the March for Life? The March for Life is an annual march which takes place on the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, which is the court decision that made abortion legal in our country. Each year about a half-million people gather to walk from the Washington Mall to the Supreme Court building. The March is both a prayer to end abortion and also a celebration of life, since life of the greatest good which we can celebrate! It is the greatest gift of the Father to us. We conclude with the words of Bl. John Paul II: "We are facing an enormous and dramatic clash between good and evil, death and life, the "culture of death" and the "culture of life." We find ourselves not only "faced with" but necessarily "in the midst of" this conflict: we are all involved and we all share in it, with the inescapable responsibility of choosing to be unconditionally pro-life."
